Fairtrade Fortnight – Fairtrade Fashion Events

During Fairtrade Fortnight, the Oban Fairtrade Steering Group held a ‘Fairtrade Fashion Fix’ evening in Taynuilt Village Hall, including style makeovers using fairtrade cotton clothing, FT wine and baking and FT accessories stalls. 

The Group also held a Celebration for International Women’s Day in partnership with Women@Work, which included Fairtrade tea and coffee, fun workshops on fairtrade cotton & the fashion industry and a chance to try FT clothing. No Recession for Fair Trade

Fairtrade Fortnight ended at the Tesco store on Saturday 12th March with a discussion about Fairtrade in Argyll and Bute between Alan Reid M.P., Kenny MacCallum – Assistant Manager, Councillors Elaine Robertson and Alison Hay, Olwen Rowlands of OXFAM, other members of Tesco staff and of Oban Fairtrade Steering Group.
