Fairtrade Fortnight – Fairtrade Fashion Events

During Fairtrade Fortnight, the Oban Fairtrade Steering Group held a ‘Fairtrade Fashion Fix’ evening in Taynuilt Village Hall, including style makeovers using fairtrade cotton clothing, FT wine and baking and FT accessories stalls.
The Group also held a Celebration for International Women’s Day in partnership with Women@Work, which included Fairtrade tea and coffee, fun workshops on fairtrade cotton & the fashion industry and a chance to try FT clothing. The event followed the FT Fortnight campaign on ‘Show off your label – the labour behind the label’ and included the unveiling of the first uniquely created International Women’s Day chocolate designed by the Oban Chocolate Shop where the event was held.
